Owners filter the map to one kind of work. Every box you tick is a search you appear in, and the specialist badge is how you stand out in it.
1Sign in and open your profile. Go to yellowpagesrv.com, press Sign in at the top right, type the email you signed up with, and use the code or link that arrives. You land on your profile.
2Scroll to Rigs and work and tick what you take. It is the fifth card. Tick the rigs you work on, then under Work you do tap every kind of work you take. The list is grouped: Electrical and power, Plumbing and tanks, Exterior and structure, Body and paint, Interior, Care and seasonal. Body and paint holds body repair and fiberglass, aluminum skirting and siding, front and rear caps, paint and decals, delamination and sidewall, and collision and insurance claims. A ticked box fills amber. Do not tick everything: somebody who ticks forty boxes looks like somebody who does a bit of everything and nothing particularly well.
3Under Work you do not do, mark what you turn away. The same list again, further down. Anything you tap here shows on your listing as work you do not do, so nobody calls you about it, and it is struck through in the list above so you cannot claim both at once.
4If one kind of work is most of your year, say so. Back at the top of the profile, in the first card under Work specialist, tick I specialize in one kind of work. A list of the same kinds of work appears; tap the one you specialize in, or two or three. Anything you pick here is added to Work you do as well. Somebody who specializes in nine things does not, so keep it to what you would put on the side of the truck. If you do a bit of everything, leave the box alone.
5Press Save changes. The green button at the bottom. It says "Saved just now". Nothing changes on your listing until you do.
6This is what owners see on your listing. A purple Solar specialist badge sits with your other badges at the top of your listing, and the kinds of work you ticked are listed under Rigs and work further down. The badge does not move you up any list, since nothing on this site ranks technicians. It makes you easy to pick out of the list you are already in, which is what an owner filtering the map to Solar is doing.
7And on your page. The same badge under your name, and your work written out as words further down, which is what Google reads.
?Two things to know. Brand specialist is a separate box just above Work specialist, for a technician who works one make, such as Airstream; it puts a badge naming the brands. And the pin colors on the map do not change with any of this. Owners find a specialist with the work filter, not by pin color.
