We collect very little. We do not sell anything about you, we do not run ads, and we do not build advertising profiles. There is no account required to look for a technician.
Your location. If you tap Near me, your browser asks your permission and then gives us your coordinates. We use them to sort listings by distance and to put a dot on the map. They stay in your browser for that visit. We do not store them and we do not send them to our server.
Phone number lookups. When you tap to reveal a phone number, we count that lookup so no one can harvest the whole directory. To count it we take your IP address, scramble it with a one way hash, and store only the scrambled result and the date. We cannot turn that back into your IP address, and it is not linked to your name or anything else about you. Those counts are cleared out as they age.
Your browser. We remember, in your own browser, that you have seen our notice about how the site works, so it stops appearing. That never leaves your device.
Calls and texts. When you call or text a business, that happens on your phone, through your carrier, directly with them. We are not in the middle of it and we do not see it.
What you put in your listing is meant to be public, and we show it: your business name, service area, rates, the work you take on, your bio and your links. Your phone number is public too, but only behind a tap, and only in limited numbers per visitor per day.
If you send us a claim request, we keep your name, email, phone and message so we can verify you own the business and get you set up. If we do not end up working together, ask and we will delete it.
Documents you upload for credential checks are kept only as long as needed to check them and to answer questions about the badge later. They are not published and are not shown to owners.
The map, the place data and the star ratings come from Google. Loading the map means your browser talks to Google directly, and Google handles that under its own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not store Google's ratings on our servers. They are fetched fresh each time a listing is opened.
The site runs on Cloudflare, which serves it and stores our database. Cloudflare processes traffic on our behalf and keeps standard security logs.
This site is not meant for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
You can refuse the location request and everything still works, you just pan the map yourself. You can clear your browser storage at any time. If you want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted, write to support@yellowpagesrv.com and we will handle it.
Depending where you live you may have additional rights over your information. Ask and we will honor them.
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it.
