About Open Road RV Supply and Service

Greetings, RVers! My name is Shade Tidwell, owner of Open Road RV Supply and Service in Early, TX. I recently retired as a Master Peace Officer with the Brownwood Police Department, and started this business because there was a need for it in our area. I initially started this as a supplemental income, but as I got further into it, I found that there were a vast amount of people who needed quality repairs and service. Thus, I retired and went all-in in the RV repair world, which included opening a supply store in my town (1004 Early Boulevard).

I am married for over 20 wonderful years to my best half, Caity Tidwell (who helps runs the store) and father to two ridiculously smart and talented children, a daughter in college (Angelo State University) and a son in high school.

I am a straight shooter. If I can't help you out, I will tell you that I can't. If I am uncomfortable with a certain repair due to inexperience or another reason, I will let you know, and guide you to someone who may be able to help.

If any RV issues arise, there's no shame in calling, and I strive to be the best that I can.

NOTE: The $50 service fee is for those in Brown County Only. Surrounding counties are charged $75.
